Send me an emailMy name is Teti and I’m the creative mind and hard working hands behind Nutsknitwear. After spending almost a decade studying biology, I found my creative escape in knitting. I now spend my days and nights in the company of yarn, needles and my ginger cat Katzie. Knitting is my full time job and I absolutely love it.
My designs are inspired by nature, flowers and leaves, textures of bark and moss, movement and stillness of grass. I love sophisticated yet functional designs, smart seamless constructions and have a good eye for misfit. I am attracted to natural warm colours and find especial pleasure in designing colourwork.
Welcome to my little universe and thank you for your support!
Warmly, TetiThink of an ultimate stay-at-home sweater, long and cozy. The pullover is worked top down seamless in the round, featuring a round yoke with contrast textural mosaic colourwork. The body and sleeves of the pullover are worked in a simple textured moss–like pattern straight down and gathered at the cuffs and hem.
This design is a tribute to autumn, with mohair halo bringing in the misty mornings, nupps symbolizing the season of fruit and nuts, and simple ribbing mimicking the naked trees. Those tree branches decrease on the crown generously covered with the nupps. The beanie is worked seamless in the round from the bottom up. The yarn combination makes it a very light yet super warm and adds a luxurious element, lifting up otherwise a minimalistic design.
The name “kokon” in many Slavic languages means “cocoon”, and so this design feels to me. A beautiful floral cocoon, in which you’d want to hide from the outside world. The pullover is worked top down seamless in the round, featuring floral colourwork running across the bottom of the yoke and continuing on the body. Sleeves have an elegant balloon shape, and both bottom and neckline edges are finished with stockinette hem in contrasting colour.
Colourwork beanies can be contemporary and stylish, right? Inflorescence beanie is worked bottom up seamless in the round and features double layered hem with colourwork pattern on the right side and simple ribbing on the inner side. The body of the beanie is worked in the main yarn held double with a textured cable pattern. The crown is pointed and can accommodate a tiny pompom in contrasting colour.
Autumn is here and I am desperately trying to preserve the spirit of summer. I see this design as a bouquet of dried flowers. Worked top down seamless in the round, this round yoke pullover is decorated with stranded colourwork floral pattern with floats on the right side around the yoke, an asymmetric hem and cuffs.
Florarium light is a long awaited fingering weight version of the original aran weight Florarium sweater. It is a modern round yoke pullover with slightly A-line shaped body and long sleeves, featuring sections of floral stranded colourwork pattern with floats of contrasting colour on the right side on the yoke, hem and cuffs. The pullover is worked bottom up seamless in the round.
This pullover is a sort of Easter egg, a mystical totem of a gardener, who hopes for the rain and good harvest with the pattern of sun elements and rakes, which bring rain. Worked top down seamless in the round, the design features round yoke decorated with “rain drops” of wrapped knit stitches and a colourwork section on the bottom of the body.
A generously oversized chunky cardigan, featuring dropped shoulder sleeve, deep cut V-neck and a pair of practical picked-up patch pockets. Made with bulky yarn in a variation of moss (seed) stitch it is a fast and easy project, suitable even for beginners.
Carcade or Roselle or Hibiscus — I bet you’ve tried this flower infusion? Its deep colour and beautiful flowers are mesmerizing. Worked top down seamless in a round, this pullover features round yoke decorated with lateral braids and a hem with intricate “inside out” floral colour work.
A beautiful pullover worked bottom up with round yoke, A-line shaped body and long wide sleeves, featuring a gorgeous floral colour work pattern with floats of contrasting colour on the right side. Worked in rustic Icelandic wool it is light, yet extremely warm and comforting like a hug.
Kakao is cocoa in Ukrainian. It’s a very light and breathy reversible beanie. If made from mohair, silk, fingering weight wool or cashmere, it is just dreamy. The beanie is worked seamless in the round with a simple yet elegant lace pattern.
A romantic lightweight pullover, worked from the bottom up in a round and partially flat, with dropped puffy lace sleeves and attached cable edging around the scoop neck and hem. Perfect over dresses and/or high waisted skirt and pants. Designed cropped, but the length can be easily adjusted.
Rainey has raindrop pattern and carries “rain” in its name. Rainey as an old English name also means “queen” and you get to wear your headband as a crown. It is a tribute to the local Dutch yarn made from sheep bred on the Texel island and is naturally dyed here in The Netherlands by a local dyer.
A simple yet classy unisex beanie, worked seamless in the round with 1x1 ribbing pattern of twisted knit and purl sts. The hat is easy to style and can be worn with a classic folded brim or with a pointed/slouchy crown.
The most simple yet elegant unisex raglan pullover with a wide standing mock neck. The garment is worked top down in the round with a few short rows shaping the neck and gradual increases along the raglan lines. This could easily be your first pullover!
Foliage Headband is designed for all the romantic souls out there. It is a double layered reversible headband, knit seamless in a round with a simple yet beautiful leafy lace pattern on one of the sides.
It is a simple yet elegant pullover, designed oversized for a comfortable flowy look and feel. Perfect garment to complete outfits with skirts, jeans and over dresses, ideal both in the office and outdoors. The side slits give a modern touch to otherwise classic seamless pullover.
A simple yet elegant cropped pullover, designed to complete outfits with high-waisted skirts, jeans and go over dresses. Floating front and back hem with only side ribbing gives it a very romantic touch, rustic pattern gives extra texture to both front and back of the garment, and raglan sleeve lines visually reduce shoulder width. The pullover is knitted seamless in the round from the bottom up.
